Instructions for Oral Presenters

Uploading your presentation

Please ensure to upload you presentation before the start of the morning session or during the coffee/ lunch breaks in the hall where your presentation is taking place

Technical equipment in the Congress halls includes a projector and a computer compatible with Windows 7 and Office 2007

Please note that you are required to bring your presentation on a CD, DVD or a “USB Memory stick” and hand it to the hall technician to upload onto the computer. Use of personal laptops is not recommended.

Macintosh Users
Please be advised that the use of Mac computers is not recommended
(Mac users are requested to convert their presentation to Office (see below)

If you do wish to use your own laptop, make sure to bring an adaptor to Windows operated computer

Please note that in order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer, you are required to prepare it according to the instructions below

  1. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (Special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).
  2. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT – these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
  3. Use a common movie format, such as AVI, MPG and WMV (MOV files from QuickTime will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).

Instructions for Poster Presenters

Your poster should be 85 cm wide x 150 cm high and printed on paper (not on material and not a roll-up).Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.The text, illustrations, etc., should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters.Tacks and technical equipment will be provided for the hanging of posters. (Please refer to the printed Program onsite for your poster board number).
